Staffmax is currently recruiting for our growing and progressive client in Winnipeg a Generator Service Mechanic. This is no cost to you!!
Duties:
- Work on Compressors and/or Generators, Diesel Engines, troubleshoot VFD, transformers, change oil and filters, bring clients mechanical needs up to code and up sell warranties, parts, etc.
- 24 hour service for generator breakdowns, switch gear and other related products.
- Reporting to the Service Manager, responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of equipment, make recommendations.
- Maintaining our excellent standard for customer service

- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge or experience on power generation in controls and proper installation of generator sets is an asset
- Knowledge of AC and DC wiring and systems.
- Proficient mechanical and electrical skills to perform failure analysis, troubleshooting and repairs of all types of engines, power generators and simular equipment.
- Able to work in adverse working conditions requiring physical dexterity.
Nice to Haves:
- Red Seal Mechanic Diesel Mechanic / automotive / electrical background EIT/EET/MET also welcome.
- Experience in Military with generators also invited to apply
- Electrical Journeyman certificate or a Class M Limited Generator License valuable asset
- Past generator experience an asset
- Must have a clean Criminal Check
- Drivers License
