HVAC Technician

Our client is looking for a quality, experienced, and reliable HVAC technician to join their team in Fort McMurray. This is not a camp job, but an opportunity for a career!

We offer:

Competitive wage – $45-55/hr to start, eligible for wage increases

Monday to Friday with lots of opportunity for overtime (20+ hours a week)

One month free staff housing if you are relocating to Fort McMurray

Job Overview: You will be required to work independently and with a team on Commercial and Residential projects. Handling change of services, new structures, modify existing set ups.

Key Responsibilities

• Install air conditioning, heating, and related equipment and components
• Overhaul and service air conditioning, heating units and systems
• Repair, replace and adjust worn or broken parts on condensers, compressors, and water and vacuum pumps
• Repair and adjust valves, piping connections, fittings, and couplings
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with heating and air conditioning units and systems
• Install motors, thermostats, and humidistats
• Interpret and enforce safety regulations

Education and Experience

• Diploma from a certified college
• 4th level or Red Seal in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• 3-5 years experience in commercial and residential service
• A valid drivers’ license and current driving abstract
• Own standard tools, specialty tools will be provided
• Knowledge of applicable HVAC codes, standards, and regulations
• Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the trade
• Skill in both verbal and written communication
• Must be willing to relocate if outside of Fort McMurray, no camp
