We want a Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician in Thunder Bay who enjoys field work (which comes with a $ field premium).

Requirements :
- Journeyman Heavy Duty certificate
- Interprovincial Red Seal an asset
- 4 years experience handling repair, breakdowns and maintenance of HD equipment
- ability to work/travel in the field including overnight stays as needed (up to 50% during busy times)
- must have ability to always think and perform with Safety first
- strong communications skills for interacting with clients and co-workers
- potential hires will be required to take aptitude and pre-employment medical tests
Responsibilities :
- perform necessary preventative maintenance, repairs and handle all breakdown issues on heavy duty equipment used in various industries
- diagnose root cause of breakdowns/faults/malfunctions using modern computerized/testing equipment
- develop recommendation servicing requirements and methods of improvement
- understand equipment and manuals to perform repairs
- create work order and inspection reports for customer and company
- always think and perform with Safety in mind
- desire to work in all conditions necessary to service customer while ensuring safety is first consideration
