Mechanic Assistant

Staffmax is seeking an Maintenance Mechanic Assistant in Winnipeg.

This role will use your experience working on machines in a manufacturing environment.

Minor repairs, assisting with large repairs, breakdowns and cleaning of the mechanical systems as it relates to machines/equipment.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor

Duties:

• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain an orderly work environment
• Perform routine maintenance procedures on equipment, tools, and building fixtures.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
• Assist Industrial Mechanics with major maintenance and repair activities.
• Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs to mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Complete all Work Order and related documentation as instructed by supervisor.
• Comply with safety regulations and policies.
• Work all shifts as assigned – ability to work days, evenings and midnight shift rotation.

Must Haves:

• Completion of high school required or 4 years similar work experience with some high school
