Role Summary:
The Operations Manager is accountable for maintaining and increasing revenue and margin dollar volumes in all operational functions.
The Operations Manager manages installation and service business profitability to meet Branch objectives, while taking ownership in leading an operations team to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
This position, by nature or size, is broadly subject to functional policies and goals. Management direction of a general nature.
This position is primary, as the occupant has effective control over the significant activities and resources that produce the results.
The occupant must answer for the results and utilizes a great deal of independent judgment and analysis.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for monthly forecasting of order execution, billings, and expenses.
• Accountable for achieving order execution targets, budgeted revenue and gross margin dollars.
• Mentor and develop operations employees (e.g. supervisors, technicians, coordinators, administrators), and evaluate their performance on a regular basis.
• Control Branch office inventory
• Drive continuous improvement based on customer feedback
• Provide necessary reports and information to branch/regional management on a consistent basis.
• Work closely with sales team to ensure project coordination and profitability
• Manage Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Control for the Branch and its employees.
• Prepare budgets with the guidance of the branch/regional management, and be responsible for results.
• Ensure technicians are trained on proper procedures involved in performing required duties in compliance with standards

Educational/ technical Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma or equivalent experience within the Life Safety industry.
• Strong sense of ownership and urgency
• Minimum 3-5 years managerial/supervisory experience
• Ability to build relationships within the company, and with customers and suppliers.
Other Requirements:
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of applications and operations Of Systems and services.
• Ability to work both strategically and tactically to achieve objectives
• Self-motivated with ability to meet individual customer expectations
• Strong people and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and empower others.
• Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple assignments while adhering to strict deadlines.
• Proven ability to delegate and lead employees to meet expected objectives and goals
• Strong PC application software skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Internet Explorer).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, both verbal and written. The ability to interact well with all levels of management and support staff.
