Our client which is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to quality healthcare and housing for seniors is currently seeking a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator. If you are compassionate, results driven and have a proven track record in problem solving, we’d love to hear from you!

Full time Monday to Friday – paid 7.5 hours per day, flexible start time.

Job Description:

Responsible for supporting the hiring process as well as payroll and employee benefit functions across the organization. This position requires competencies in the clerical tasks associated with employee hiring, on-boarding, benefits management and payroll system coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Payroll processing and coordination experience – PAYWORKS KNOWLEDGE PREFERRED
  • Benefits enrollment and coordination with HEB and Blue Cross experience – PREFERRED
  • Proficient use of computers including word processing skills and MS Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines a must.

Job Description

  • Responsible assisting Human Resources with position postings, hiring which includes interviews, references checks and scheduling of staff orientations.
  • All files to be maintained accordance to employment standards and Manitoba Health Standards.
  • Tracking of sick time including WCB reporting.
  • Completion of bi-weekly payroll for 250 employees. Union and Non-Union.
  • Support Managers with vacation planning.

Must be able to provide a clear Adult Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Check.
