5-Ton Truck Driver – Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.50–$22 per hour (depending on experience)

Staffmax is currently hiring a 5-Ton Truck Driver for one of our valued clients in the delivery and logistics industry. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced and reliable driver who takes pride in their work and provides excellent customer service.

About the Role

The ideal candidate is responsible, hardworking, and customer-focused, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. This role involves collecting, transporting, and safely delivering freight to designated locations while representing the client in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide variety of items to different locations using a company-provided 5-ton truck

• Follow assigned routes and strict delivery schedules

• Load, unload, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle safely

• Complete required logs and delivery documentation

• Perform additional duties during downtime, including general shop and common area cleaning, grounds maintenance when required, and end-of-day tasks to ensure the facility is organized and ready for the next day

Skills & Requirements

• Proven experience driving a 5-ton truck (required)

• Experience driving in Winnipeg and surrounding areas is an asset

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license

• Clean driving record; driver’s abstract required

• Ability to operate a vehicle in various weather and traffic conditions

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to safely handle heavy and awkwardly shaped pallets

• Must have a smartphone with a working camera

Qualifications

• Ability to perform heavy lifting

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Previous warehouse experience is an asset

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
