Staffmax is currently partnering with a prominent client in Downtown Winnipeg to fill an essential Administrative Assistant role. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with experience in general office procedures, data entry, and databases. Start Date: ASAP until December 22nd Location: Carlton Street, Downtown Winnipeg, MB Wage: $15.80 per hour Responsibilities: The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to:
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not involve direct supervisory responsibilities. Supervision Received: The incumbent is expected to perform duties independently and with initiative. Work is reviewed through spot-checking rather than detailed scrutiny. The incumbent receives direction and instruction from one or more Adult Services Administrators, with oversight from a Team Lead and the Deputy Public Guardian and Trustee – Adult Services. Scope for Independent Action: Matters involving departmental policy, unusual problems, and legal implications should be referred to the immediate supervisor. Decisions regarding routine matters, information, policies, and procedures can be made on the incumbent's own initiative, provided they possess a good knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and relevant legislation. Other Comments: This role requires meticulous attention to detail, as many assigned duties can impact Adult Services and potentially lead to public criticism if not performed accurately. The incumbent is expected to exercise sound judgment independently and take initiative. They are also expected to provide assistance in various areas of the ASA's work.
