Staffmax is currently assisting our client in Winnipeg, MB, in their search for a Receptionist to cover the main desk for a 2-week contract with the possibility of extension. This role serves as the first point of contact, providing exceptional reception coverage and administrative support in a dynamic office environment.

Duration: 2-Week Term contract with possible extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:45 pm
Wage: $15.56 to $17.50 per hour
Location: Main Street, Winnipeg, MB

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the friendly and prompt first point of contact, answering the switchboard and routing calls efficiently.
  • Greet visitors and provide exceptional reception coverage during office hours.
  • Coordinate and process daily mail and courier deliveries for the office, including electronically received correspondence.
  • Assist in coordinating various meetings, ensuring space, equipment, and food arrangements are in place.
  • Perform data entry for general database information and assist with copying, filing, and scanning documents.
  • Provide general administrative support to the IRO department and other areas of the organization, including coordinating meetings, maintaining office supplies, and preparing employee handbooks.
  • Monitor and manage the United Way information email, forwarding emails to the appropriate staff for follow-up.
  • Update staff and phone directories, floor plans, and Intranet information for new and departing staff.
  • Assist with preparing desk areas for new staff and students and coordinate the distribution of exit interviews for student placements.
  • Distribute temporary building access cards to staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Maintain and update Andar volunteer and student information for strengthening stakeholder relationships in support of organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in receptionist or administrative roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Andar or related database systems is an asset.
  • Must be available to work the specified contract duration and hours.
