As a first point of contact this position is a highly visible role, both with internal staff and external visitors. Our client is looking for an experienced office assistant. This position is a temporary contract. 


•Grade 12 or equivalent is required. 
•Minimum 2-3 years experience managing a busy reception desk. 
•Administrative education and/or work experience preferred. 
•Team player with excellent customer service skills. 
•Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. 
•Proven knowledge and experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook and Adobe 
•Keyboarding skills of 40 – 45 wpm. 

Duties and Responsibilities for this position include:

•Establishes & maintains relationships with all levels of the Company & Public. 
•Directs & screens incoming telephone calls on company lines and assists with inquiries 
•Internet usage and strong Email communication skills essential 
•Responsible for outgoing mail – package & postage 
•Responsible for incoming & outgoing couriers 
•Collects, sorts, screens & distributes all incoming correspondence 
•Order and maintain adequate levels of all office & kitchen supplies 
•Clerical duties as assigned such as photocopying & faxing
