Role Overview
Staffmax is hiring an experienced Administrative Assistant – Intermediate on behalf of one of our renowned insurance clients in Winnipeg. This is a short-term contract opportunity ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling confidential information in a professional office environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assign bankruptcies and garnishments accurately and within required timelines

Manage in-office mail and perform general administrative duties

Handle and respond to lawyers’ correspondence

Participate in cross-training and act as a backup when required

Complete other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative role

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading with keen attention to detail

Knowledge of legal and court documents and procedures across Canada (preferred)

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Team player with strong organizational and time-management skills

Motivated self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively
Technical Skills

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Pro

Experience with matter management and document management systems (e.g., M-Files, Relativity)
