Staffmax is assisting our east Winnipeg client with the hire of Labourers to work in a recycling yard on the afternoon shift (3 PM to 12 AM). This permanent, full-time, outdoor job pays at $17.46 per hour to start. You must have access to a vehicle for this role, as there is no transit to the area.
Your Duties Will Include:
- Loading balers and processing metal materials for shipping.
- Loading processed metal materials for shipping to clients.
- Inspecting and sorting materials
- Cleaning of production areas
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- You must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening
- You must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions- depending on conditions you may experience extreme cold or heat, wind, rain, muddy and dusty conditions, etc.
- You must have access to a vehicle, as transit does not service this location
- This is a physically demanding outdoor role- you must be in good physical condition and capable of standing, kneeling, crouching, pushing and pulling up to 70 lbs, lifting up to 60 lbs throughout the day.
- Skill with quick consumer math is a strong asset
- The ability to work quickly and efficiently under deadlines is a strong asset
- The ability to multitask as necessary is a strong asset
- Skill in verbal communication and customer service are a strong asset
