Job Title: Apprentice/Labourer – Flat Roofing
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Pay Rate: $20–$22/hour (starting rate, based on experience)
Job Overview
Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is currently hiring Apprentice/Labourers for flat roofing projects in Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
Flat Roofing Support
- Assist crew members with installing roofing systems
- Load, unload, and move materials around the job site
- Remove debris and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Support proper storage and protection of materials
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous construction or roofing experience is an asset, but not required
- Experience with roofing systems (Mod-Bit, EPDM, TPO, Asphalt & Gravel) is an asset
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract required
- Safety certifications (Fall Protection, WHMIS/GHS) are an asset
- Experience operating construction equipment is an asset
Working Conditions
- Work at heights and on ladders
- Physically demanding (lifting up to 100 lbs, bending, kneeling, standing for long periods)
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Early mornings, with possible overtime, evenings, and weekends
- Travel to rural job sites may be required
