Assistant Property Manager (18-Month Term Contract)

Pay Rate: $37–$40/hour

SUMMARY
Staffmax is hiring an Assistant Property Manager for an 18-month term assignment with a leading commercial real estate company in Vancouver. The successful candidate will support the daily operations of a high-profile office property, acting as a key contact for tenants, vendors, and visitors. This role combines administrative, financial, and operational duties and requires an experienced professional who excels at organization, communication, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide administrative and operational support to property management, engineering, and operations teams.

Assist with financial reporting, including annual budgets, CAM and tax reconciliations, monthly variance reports, and rent rolls.

Prepare and distribute tenant communications such as rent statements, invoices, manuals, and notices.

Conduct regular building inspections, create punch lists, and coordinate maintenance and repair work with contractors.

Process accounts payable invoices and assist with collections of accounts receivable.

Support tenant move-in and move-out activities, ensuring a smooth transition process.

Collaborate with building operations staff to resolve tenant service requests promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial real estate, ideally within Class A office or mixed-use environments.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Property Management (PM) Real Estate License considered an asset.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word; ability to prepare and analyze financial reports.

Experience with Yardi and Angus systems is an asset.

Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
