Staffmax Staffing and Recruiting is assisting our client in finding an outstanding Body Shop Manager located just outside city of Winnipeg

Pay and Perks:

  • $70-90,000
  • Base plus bonus on profit
  • Prefer auto mechanical knowledge and a strong leader or prev. experience as a Body Shop Manager

Job Overview:

The Body Shop Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the auto body repair shop. This includes supervising staff, coordinating workflow, managing resources, and ensuring that repairs are completed to meet or exceed industry standards.

This role has 12 people reporting to them

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of auto body technicians, painters, and support staff.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Manage employee schedules, workload distribution, and performance evaluations.

Operational Oversight:

  • Plan and organize daily workflow to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor and manage the repair process from intake to delivery, ensuring timely completion of work.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and quality control measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inventory, and customer communications.

Hands on Customer Service:

  • Interact with customers to understand their repair needs and expectations.
  • Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering quality repairs and exceptional service.

Resource Management:

  • Manage inventory of parts, materials, and equipment to support efficient repair operations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of necessary supplies.
  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators, such as repair efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in auto body repair, with a strong understanding of industry standards and techniques a strong asset
  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in auto body repair management a strong asset
