Job Title: Business Development Manager

Position Overview:
Staffmax is looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to spearhead sales growth in the Midwestern U.S. region. This role requires prospecting for new business and managing existing accounts to expand market presence.
Territory Focus:
This role covers the Midwestern U.S., including cities such as Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales through regular travel to customers and potential clients, assessing their needs, making sales presentations, providing quotes, and closing deals using persuasive sales and negotiation techniques
- Develop and manage distributor relationships, including training, joint sales calls, and tracking projects
- Oversee territory performance, ensuring objectives are met, and take corrective action to enhance outcomes
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service and resolve any product-related issues
- Work closely with the Vice President of Sales and Business Development Manager to set appropriate pricing and sales strategies
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions to maximize sales potential
- Create and execute a comprehensive territory coverage plan, ensuring consistent customer contact to meet sales targets
- Analyze regional opportunities, forecast sales by customer and product, and provide statistical reports as needed
- Manage expense budgets and ensure adherence to corporate policies regarding company equipment and materials
- Attend industry events and actively participate in networking opportunities, including after-hour activities (5-9 PM)
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 3-5 years of sales experience, ideally in a business development role
- Experience in the RV industry or manufacturing of outdoor recreational products is preferred but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other in-house database systems
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Experience in supplier assessment, contract negotiation, and vendor management
- Ability to travel overnight 10-15% of the time and within the assigned territory 80%
Work Environment:
- This role involves a mix of office work and field travel
- Ability to walk through production facilities as needed
Position Details:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime required
