About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for experienced Bagging Machine Operators with a strong background in the food manufacturing industry.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 years of experience operating rotary bagging and packaging machines in a high-volume food production environment. Experience with equipment used by companies such as Old Dutch or similar food manufacturers is highly preferred.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machine operator looking to bring their technical knowledge and hands-on experience to a long-term manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor rotary bagging and packaging machines in a high-volume food production environment.
Set up and adjust bagging machines according to product specifications and production requirements.
Operate rotary packaging equipment and monitor machine performance throughout production.
Perform machine changeovers, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
Monitor product weights, package appearance, seals, and overall packaging quality.
Identify and correct machine issues to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
Conduct regular quality checks and ensure products meet company specifications.
Work closely with maintenance and production teams to address equipment issues.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.
Follow GMPs, food safety procedures, HACCP requirements, and workplace safety policies.
Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently met.
Assist with training and supporting other machine operators when required.
Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Approximately 10 years of experience operating bagging or packaging machinery in the food manufacturing industry.
Strong hands-on experience with rotary bagging machines is required.
Experience with equipment similar to machines used at Old Dutch or other large-scale snack/food manufacturers is highly preferred.
Experience with machine setup, adjustments, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify basic equipment issues.
Experience working in a high-volume food production environment.
Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, HACCP, and workplace safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Flexibility to work shifts as required.

The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced machine operator who has spent several years working directly with rotary bagging equipment in a food manufacturing environment.

Candidates with experience at established food manufacturers, snack manufacturers, or similar high-volume production facilities are encouraged to apply. Hands-on experience with rotary packaging machines, including setup, changeovers, adjustments, and troubleshooting, is particularly important for this position.
