Work Arrangement: Full-time in-office training (approximately 1–2 months), followed by a hybrid schedule with 2 in-office days per week

Staffmax is currently hiring a Bilingual Intake Coordinator (Claims Examiner) for one of Winnipeg's leading insurance organizations. About the Role

As a Bilingual Intake Coordinator, you will play a key role in the claims process by serving as a point of contact for plan members and plan sponsors. You will review claim documentation, gather required information, verify eligibility, and ensure claims are processed accurately and efficiently.

This position requires strong communication skills in both English and French, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review incoming claims and supporting documentation to ensure eligibility requirements are met.
  • Contact plan members and plan sponsors to obtain additional information and clarify documentation requirements.
  • Communicate professionally in both English and French through phone and email correspondence.
  • Verify and resolve discrepancies, incomplete forms, and missing information.
  • Accurately enter and maintain claim information within internal systems.
  • Prepare correspondence related to claim approvals, denials, and requests for additional information.
  • Manage short-term and straightforward claims according to established procedures.
  • Escalate or transfer complex claims to specialized case management teams when required.
  • Maintain organized electronic records and ensure all documentation is properly filed.
  • Adhere to service standards, timelines, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in customer service, administration, call center, claims processing, or a related field.
  • Fluency in both English and French (written and verbal) is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to understand detailed procedures, documentation, and contractual information.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in disability insurance, benefits administration, or claims processing is considered an asset.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Protected B Security Clearance.
  • Ability to work on-site in Winnipeg during the training period.
  • Comfortable working in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
