Bindery/Coil Operators Location: Winnipeg, MB Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bindery/Coil Operators to join our production team in Winnipeg. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in print production, bookbinding, or machine operation who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training from experienced long-term operators, providing valuable knowledge and support during the onboarding process. Key Responsibilities • Operate a variety of bookbindery and finishing equipment, including guillotine paper cutters, trimming machines, punching machines, binding machines, laminating machines, and coil-making machines • Set up and run binding and finishing equipment according to production requirements • Perform cutting, trimming, punching, laminating, and coil-binding functions while maintaining quality standards • Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with customer specifications • Perform routine equipment checks and basic machine maintenance • Follow production schedules and complete work orders efficiently • Assist with loading, unloading, organizing, and handling printed materials • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures Qualifications • Previous experience in a bookbindery, print shop, manufacturing, or production environment is preferred • Experience operating cutting, trimming, punching, binding, laminating, or similar production equipment is considered a strong asset • Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control • Good English communication skills • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment • Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and eager to learn This is a light-duty production role requiring strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and a commitment to producing high-quality finished products. |
