Pay: $30/hr

Location: On-site (potential for hybrid after 3 months)
Hours: 7.5 hours/day, flexible start time

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a temporary-to-permanent opportunity. The main focus during the initial 3-month project will be balancing Trust bank accounts with thousands of transactions to prepare for year-end audit review. This includes reviewing, reconciling, and cleaning up complex financial records to ensure complete accuracy.

There is potential to transition into a permanent role after the project, with flexible work-from-home options.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance and reconcile multiple Trust bank accounts

  • Organize and clean up historical transactions to ensure audit readiness

  • Prepare accurate financial documentation and reports for auditors

  • Maintain up-to-date financial records using Sage Simply Accounting and Excel

  • Collaborate closely with the in-house Accountant and support general bookkeeping tasks


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in balancing and reconciling bank accounts

  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables

  • Proficiency with Sage Simply Accounting

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume transaction data

  • Canadian experience is preferred but not required

  • Must be available to work on-site during the project phase
