Boom Truck Driver – Class 3 with Air

Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is currently seeking an experienced Boom Truck Driver to join our team. This is a full-time, hands-on position involving both driving and physical labour. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely loading, securing, transporting, and delivering building materials to various customer and job sites.

Position Details

• Wage: $29.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

• Schedule: Monday to Friday

• Start Time: 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM, depending on the day

• End Time: Approximately 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM, depending on the day's workload

• Overtime: Plenty of opportunity for overtime

• Overtime Rate: Time and a half

• Position Type: Full-time

• Work Environment: Outdoor, year-round and physically demanding

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Boom Truck and Hi-Ab crane to load, transport, and deliver building materials.

• Load and unload materials using proper lifting, rigging, and safe-work procedures.

• Operate the crane safely and efficiently when delivering materials to job sites.

• Ensure all loads are properly secured before transportation.

• Deliver materials to customer locations and construction/job sites.

• Pick up excess materials from job sites as required.

• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and promptly.

• Inspect and maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle.

• Follow all company and workplace safety procedures.

• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 Driver's Licence with Air endorsement.

• Proven experience operating a Boom Truck and Hi-Ab crane.

• Ability to safely operate a manual transmission.

• Crane and rigging experience/certification is considered an asset.

• Clean and current driver's abstract.

• Strong understanding of safe loading, unloading, securing, and transporting procedures.

• Must be comfortable performing physical labour on a daily basis.

• Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, bend, climb, and move materials, including loads over 50 lbs.

• Must not be afraid of hard, physical work and be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

• Forklift experience/licence is considered an asset.

• Reliable transportation to and from work is required.

Working Conditions

• Physically demanding, hands-on position.

• Work is performed both at customer/job sites and outdoors.

• Exposure to dust, changing temperatures, and various weather conditions throughout the year.

• Safety footwear and required PPE must be worn at all times.

• Overtime is regularly available depending on workload.
