We are currently hiring reliable and customer-focused Cashier / POS Event Staff to support an upcoming retail sale at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg.
Location: RBC Convention Centre, Winnipeg
Event Dates: August 27–30, 2026
Pay Rate - $20 a hour
Schedule - 9:45 am - 7:30 pm

- August 27: 7 staff required
- August 28–30: 6 staff required per day
- One team member will be released after the first day based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) terminals and process customer transactions accurately.
- Handle cash, debit, and credit card payments.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist customers with purchases and answer basic inquiries.
- Maintain an organized and clean cashier area.
- Balance cash drawer and follow cash handling procedures.
- Support the sales team with general event duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience is an asset.
- Experience using POS systems is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
