Cashier (Event)- RBC Convention Centre

We are currently hiring reliable and customer-focused Cashier / POS Event Staff to support an upcoming retail sale at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg.

Location: RBC Convention Centre, Winnipeg
Event Dates: August 27–30, 2026
Pay Rate - $20 a hour
Schedule - 9:45 am - 7:30 pm

Schedule

• August 27: 7 staff required
• August 28–30: 6 staff required per day
• One team member will be released after the first day based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate Point of Sale (POS) terminals and process customer transactions accurately.
• Handle cash, debit, and credit card payments.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with purchases and answer basic inquiries.
• Maintain an organized and clean cashier area.
• Balance cash drawer and follow cash handling procedures.
• Support the sales team with general event duties as required.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience is an asset.
• Experience using POS systems is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
