Job Overview:
Staffmax is hiring a detail-oriented and customer-focused Checking Desk Assistant for our client, one of Canada’s largest and longest-running building supply distributors. This role is essential to ensuring customer orders are accurate, well-coordinated, and processed efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and provides excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and verify customer orders to ensure accuracy prior to processing and shipment.

Greet customers professionally and assist with questions or order-related inquiries.

Answer incoming calls from the order desk, providing updates on order status, product availability, and general support.

Distribute pick tickets to the warehouse team to ensure orders are picked accurately and on time.

Work closely with warehouse and fulfillment teams to resolve order discrepancies or issues.

Maintain organized records and ensure a high level of accuracy throughout the order fulfillment process.

Identify and suggest opportunities to improve order accuracy and enhance customer satisfaction.
Compensation:
$21.00 per hour
