Description:
The temporary Church Administrator will keep the day-to-day operations at Church organized and clear. Working as a liaison between staff, congregation, tenants and the wider church community, the temporary Church Administrator will disseminate information, schedule and organize church activities and the financial aspects of building usage.

Location: Danforth Ave and Coxwell Ave- Toronto
Start Date: Jun 2025 (4-6 months)
Pay Rate:$20-25/hr for 20 hours per week.  


Expectations:
?    To work closely with other staff, contract and volunteer members. 
?    Understand and support the church mission by providing a welcoming presence, represent and embody the spirit of the church during interactions with others.
?    To report to the Ministry and Personnel Committee and Board.

Qualifications
?    High school diploma or equivalent essential
?    1+yrs basic administrative experience

General Responsibilities:
1.    Manage the church office, greet and receive visitors and offer a knowledgeable presence during office hours 
2.    Schedule rental groups and follow up with potential rental clients.
3.    Managed and monitor: building use, bulletin boards, mailboxes, flyers, etc. 
4.    Facilitate communications between the staff, the custodian, and the property committee regarding usage, repair needs, scheduling maintenance, etc. 
5.    Oversee church communication networks: phones, email, mail, etc. and respond within an appropriate time frame  
6.    Address and respond to issues reported by space users
7.    Ensure any building repair needs are communicated to the custodian and property committee.   
8.    Alert staff, contract workers, and volunteers to what information and resources are required at what times in order for the organization to run smoothly 
9.    Manage office resources to support staff projects  
10.    Order and manage office supplies and relevant liturgical supplies.
11.    Attend monthly board and staff meetings to communicate information pertaining to the church calendar, building usage, and other relevant information.
12.    Be available for direct administrative support for the minister 
13.    Work with the minister to coordinate the necessary resources for Sunday worship.

Content & Media Management:
1)    Provide minutes of the monthly board meetings  
2)    Maintain and communicate the master church calendar  
3)    Prepare occasional congregational mailings 

Financial Responsibilities: 
1)    Prepare and record cheques for bills received
2)    Entering e-transfers from space users at months end
3)    Provide financial support through bookkeeping, recording, tracking of accounts receivable/payable and report issues to the Treasurer. 

Other Responsibilities
The temporary Church Administrator can choose to participate in church fellowship and worship activities at on a volunteer basis. These activities can be performed during work hours as long as they do not interfere with fulfilling the above responsibilities of the temporary Church Administrator.
