Class 1 Long Haul Truck Driver (Part-time)

Staffmax is looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Long Haul Truck Driver to transport medical waste from Winnipeg to Shakopee, MN, 4-6 times per month. As a part-time driver, this opportunity is perfect for someone who is looking to pick up extra miles or a recently retired driver.

Responsibilities:

• Transport medical waste from Winnipeg to Shakopee, MN once a month.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and communicate any defects to the Transportation Supervisor.
• Ensure that materials are properly packaged and comply with packaging slips before the trip.
• Record information accurately on packaging slips and manifest.
• Comply with all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of long haul driving experience.
• Class 1 license with air.
• F.A.S.T Card to bring medical waste to the US.
• Available to drive from Winnipeg to Shakopee, MN for 22-24 hours per month.
• Current CVOR and Driver's Abstract (dated within the last 30 days).
• Ability to pass pre-employment requirements, including a reference check, background check, pre-employment medical test, and driver's road test or equivalent.
• Ability and knowledge to safely load and properly block, brace, and secure materials.
• Ability to drive the vehicle safely in accordance with all traffic regulations.
