Staffmax is urgently hiring on behalf of a restoration client for multiple Disaster Cleanup Labourers to assist with cleanup efforts following a recent apartment building fire. This is a great short-term opportunity for dependable individuals who are comfortable with physical work and want to start right away.
Key Responsibilities:
- General cleanup of fire-damaged apartment building areas
- Sweeping floors and removing debris using brooms and basic hand tools
- Assisting with carrying materials and damaged items out of units/building
- Loading debris into bins or designated disposal areas
- Maintaining a safe and organized work environment
- Following instructions from site supervisors and restoration staff
- Wearing required PPE and following site safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Must have steel toe boots
- Able to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work as part of a team
- Previous labour, construction, demolition, or restoration experience is an asset, but not required
