Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is hiring Conference Attendee/Customer Service Ushers for a major Cisco executive conference in Vancouver, BC from October 24 to October 28, 2026. These are temporary event positions supporting one of North America's premier technology conferences attended by senior business leaders and executives.

Pay- $24.00 to $27.00 per hour
$20 per day parking allowance (even if you do not drive)
Free lunch when working 6+ hour shifts
Complimentary coffee, tea, and occasional pastries

Position Overview

We are looking for professional, outgoing, and customer-focused individuals to assist conference attendees throughout the event. Staff may work as ushers, wayfinding ambassadors, directional staff, room monitors, scanners, mic runners, luggage check attendants, or general event support.

Responsibilities

Welcome and assist conference attendees
Provide directions throughout conference venues
Scan attendee badges and tickets
Monitor meeting rooms and breakout sessions
Support registration and attendee flow
Assist with luggage check and wayfinding services
Direct guests to conference rooms, receptions, and transportation areas
Provide exceptional customer service to executive-level guests
Use iPads and scanning equipment when required
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout shifts

Requirements

Strong English communication skills
Friendly, professional, and customer-service oriented
Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable transportation to various Vancouver locations
Previous event, hospitality, customer service, or conference experience is an asset
Basic technology skills and comfort using iPads are preferred

Schedule

Conference runs October 24 through October 28, 2026
Flexible shifts available
Not all staff will work all 5 days
Some shifts are less than 8 hours
Staff may be offered multiple shifts in one day, up to approximately 9 hours total
