Position Title: Construction Labourer
Location: Saskatoon, SK
About the Opportunity:
Staffmax is hiring on behalf of one of its clients in Saskatoon for a Construction Labourer role. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team working on tank and piping installation and removal projects (above and underground) across Saskatchewan and neighboring provinces.
In this role, you will support project teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution while gaining hands-on experience and developing new skills in the construction and petroleum industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete project tasks as directed by Construction Leads and Project Managers
- Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of petroleum equipment in line with regulations and manufacturer guidelines
- Work alongside subcontractors (electrical, excavation, concrete, civil) to support project completion
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures
- Travel as required across Saskatchewan and Western Canada
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions
Required Qualifications:
- Previous petroleum or construction experience considered an asset
- Experience with excavation and concrete work is an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to take direction, work independently, and prioritize safety
- Comfortable using tools and operating basic equipment
- Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and working long hours when required
- Minimum high school education
- Reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused
