Consultant Optometrist

Staffmax has an excellent opportunity for a Doctor of Optometry looking for a flexible schedule and great practice experience. The locations are in these cities of Ontario: Thunder Bay (2 clinics), North Bay (1 clinic), Sault Ste Marie (1 clinic), Owen Sound (1 clinic), Brockville (1 clinic), Kingston (1 clinic), Belleville (1 clinic), and Peterborough (1 clinic).

Optometrists with any level of experience are encouraged to apply but must be licensed to work in Canada. We provide fully equipped exam rooms, pretest equipment, as well as support and reception staff.

Responsibilities:

• Professional autonomy to care for patients.
• Full scope of practice predicated only on your professional discretion.
• Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses and counsel on use and care.
• Prescribe treatment to conserve, improve and correct vision and other ocular disorders.
• Examine patients' eyes, conduct tests, and use specialized instruments to determine visual efficiency.
• Ability to perform comprehensive eye exams in an efficient and timely manner.
