The Contractor Salesperson manages the full sales process for our client and retail customers. This role is responsible for providing accurate estimates, processing orders, delivering excellent customer service, supporting inventory management, and generating new sales opportunities.

Salary: $42,500 per year


Key Responsibilities

Customer & Sales Service

  • Assist customers through the purchase process in a professional and friendly manner
  • Prepare accurate estimates, quotes, and sales transactions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors and builders
  • Follow up on leads and estimates to generate new business opportunities
  • Provide product knowledge and support pricing inquiries
  • Process orders accurately in the bisTrack POS system
  • Ensure special orders are placed correctly and on time
  • Handle customer complaints and credit-related issues professionally

Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate records of orders, invoices, and customer information
  • Support inventory management and stock coordination with internal teams
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and administrative requirements
  • Maintain knowledge of POS systems and internal processes
  • Assist with warranty and customer service issues

Finance

  • Support accounts receivable and assist with collections when required
  • Ensure proper invoicing and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Follow pricing and credit guidelines

Communication & Team Support

  • Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and vendors
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and team initiatives
  • Cross-train with team members and support overall store operations

Professional Standards

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Ensure accuracy, organization, and timely completion of tasks
  • Keep work areas clean and presentable
  • Adhere to health, safety, and PPE requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales desk or similar customer service role
  • Experience with POS systems (bisTrack preferred)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of basic billing, invoicing, and inventory processes is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
