Cooks / Kitchen Worker

We are looking for experienced Cooks & Kitchen Staff to ensure the smooth and effective operation of a kitchen. 

Where: Manotick
When: Days, Evening and Weekend Shift Availability
Wage: $20-$25/hour (depending on experience)
What's Provided: Training, Uniform, Parking & Free Meals!
Job Type: Temporary contract for 3 month probation, then Permanent after 

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and order  
• Keep track of kitchen inventory.
• Promote food safety. 
• Taking orders from the wait staff and preparing food according to customer preference.
• Training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of foods
• Monitoring and managing cooking tools and ingredients.
• Making adjustments to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns.

Qualifications: 

•  Experience in using different cooking tools, equipment, and utensils.
•  Knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures as well as food prep techniques.
•  Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
•   Able to withstand long hours of standing, bending, and moving around.
•  Ability to follow recipe instructions.
