Staffmax is hiring a Customer Experience & Business Development Representative for one of its clients in Winnipeg.

Reports To: Managing Director
Position Summary:
This role is ideal for an energetic and motivated individual who enjoys combining customer service with business development. You will be responsible for supporting existing customers while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow into an external sales or account management role.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience & Order Management
- Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries
- Process orders, quotes, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently
- Provide product recommendations based on customer needs
- Ensure timely communication and consistent follow-up
- Maintain high service standards to support customer retention
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and target potential clients including contractors, homebuilders, and distributors
- Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, and networking
- Generate and qualify leads to build a strong sales pipeline
- Schedule and support initial discovery conversations
- Execute lead generation initiatives in collaboration with leadership
- Track activities and opportunities using CRM tools
Sales Support & Process Execution
- Prepare and follow up on quotes to help convert opportunities
- Maintain accurate customer data within CRM/ERP systems
- Support pricing updates and promotional activities
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Contribute to improving sales processes and workflows
Collaboration & Growth Contribution
- Work closely with leadership on growth initiatives
- Participate in ongoing training and coaching
- Share ideas to enhance customer experience and sales performance
- Contribute to a positive, high-energy team environment
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a client-facing role
- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with outbound calling and initiating conversations
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic experience with CRM tools
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
