Cyto Technologist (CMLTO Certified)

Our client is seeking Cytotechnologists to join our Cytology team in Toronto. This is a fulltime and permanent position. The client is flexible about shift.

Location: North York, ON

Pay rate-$35-40/hr

Qualifications and requirements:

• Current CMLTO registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing
• Diploma from an accredited school of diagnostic cytology
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications
• Previous experience working in Cytology an asset
• Meticulous, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to work in a collaborative environment

Responsibilities:

• Ensures correct specimen identification
• Ensures microscopic interpretation of specimen adequacy.
• Performs evaluation and interpretation of liquid based and conventional gynecological smears and non-gynecological slides.
• Performs microscopic evaluation, detects and marks significant cellular and non-cellular elements most representative of the pathological processes present in slides screened
• Maintains the highest quality and professional standards in full compliance with laboratory policies and Quality Management System
• Complies with safe work practices in accordance with laboratory Health and Safety policies and Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario
