We are currently seeking an experienced Pump Truck Operator / Shunt Driver to join our client's growing operation. The client is located in Etobicoke, Ontario. This position has the opportunity for further growth and exposure in other areas of the business as well as a supportive team environment.
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Pay Rate: 24hr-30/hr
Days: Thursday to Monday
Shift: Afternoon: 2 pm – 10:30 pm
Night: 8 pm – 6 am
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Transportation of trailers
• Responsible for daily pre and post-trip inspections.
• Complete an assigned daily route as assigned by the Operations Manager.
• Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion.
• Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner.
• Required to climb up the ladder on the truck to tarp loads.
• May perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
• AZ/DZ license required
• 1-2 years driving experience in a transportation sector
• Experience driving a manual transmission is considered an asset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer focus
• Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks
• Knowledge of industry as an asset
• Manual dexterity, ability to lift 40+ lbs. required
