Staffmax is working with our clients, a global consultancy company to hire a DataStage Developer for their Toronto, ON location. This a full-time permanent opportunity with excellent benefits package. Currently work remotely, but will be on-site at a to-be-determined date.
What we desire:
• 5+ years Relevant IT software experience (Technical-Developer) using ETL Technologies
• Minimum 3 years of development experience in IBM DataStage, IBM Information Analyzer, SQL, UNIX/LINUX
• Strong fundamentals in Data warehousing and BI concepts
• Strong knowledge of relation database, specifically Oracle (SQL - PL/SQL)
• Technical expertise in the design, development, coding, unit testing and debugging of software
• Solid experience working with requirement analysts gathering business requirements, understanding requirements giving feedback about how it can be technically be implemented using ETL etc.
• Data Quality experience using Information Analyzer
• Expertise in Data Analysis and Management
• Quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment
• Deep understanding of the software development process
• Strong Written and verbal communication skills
Great to Have:
• Responsible for understanding the business requirements
• Build/enhance application components to support the requirement, enabling testing organization to certify the application
• Prepare ETL architecture, associate procedures and develop Datastage jobs
• Review all functional business applications and specifications
• Schedule and plan all data stage tasks
• Monitor all data stage jobs and provide production support to all
• Manage work and apply various performance improvement techniques
• Support technology infrastructure team in production deployment and transitioning to support team
