Delivery Driver/ Warehouse Associate
Location: St, James Street Winnipeg, MB
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Pay Rate: $21.74 per hour
Staffmax is currently hiring a Cube Van Delivery Driver for one of our valued clients in Winnipeg. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced delivery professional who enjoys providing exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a company cube van, completing scheduled deliveries safely and efficiently, and assisting with general warehouse duties as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company cube van to complete deliveries throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
- Load, unload, and secure products to ensure safe transportation.
- Verify delivery orders and obtain customer signatures when required.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure on-time service.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required paperwork.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Assist with warehouse duties including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and organizing inventory when required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding delivery status or any issues encountered.
- Follow all company safety policies and provincial driving regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Clean driver's abstract is required.
- Clean criminal record check is required.
- Previous experience driving a cube van or commercial delivery vehicle is required.
- Warehouse experience is considered an asset.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Reliable, dependable, and safety conscious.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing physical work throughout the day.
- Able to work in both warehouse and outdoor environments.
