Delivery Manager for WM Data Services

What is the opportunity?
This is a Delivery Manager position which is part of fast growing Wealth Management Data Service team which will work with Dev team. QE, Application supports, multiple infrastructure teams, upstream/downstream system consumers and services providers, 3rd party vendor partners, and operation partners. Data Service team is highly focusing on the communication, collaboration, integration, automation and measurement of cooperation in order to provide a range of operational, business, technical, and system needs, to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.

What will you do?
• Leading Data Service projects (regulatory, safety & soundness, tech currency upgrades) to ensure the projects delivered within defined timeline with great qualities.
• Provide expert counseling to application development community in building solutions by providing expert technical/solution/platform services
• Research emerging trends/best industry practices and determines implications of proposed solutions on meeting business unit strategy
• Be an expert consultant on technical and management direction for strategic projects with a focus on the cross-divisional strategies
• Develop feasibility studies and framework solutions for large complex projects
• Follow RBC Technology Standards to Develop Programs following technical design and implement to production.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
• Strong JAVA, Python, Unix Scripts experiences and skills including Spring boot, microservices.
• experience, and understanding of Unix/Linux, Windows, SQL Server DB, MQ, Kafka
• Experience on Public and Private cloud knowledge (Azure, AWS, GCP, OpenShift, Dockers, Kubernetes, ELK)
• Knowledge about DevOps (GitHub, Jenkins, Urban codes, Nexus, Ansible, etc.), application monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Prognosis) and related tools
• Project Management background is an asset
• Strong analytical, consultative, and team communication / facilitative skills
Nice-to-have
• Understanding of IT Standards, Methodologies, CMM & audit requirements
• Agile experiences.
• Financial institution knowledge
