The local branch is seeking a 5 Ton Delivery Driver who will also be doing occasional Long Haul Driving
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Must have Current Class A commercial driver's license in good standing
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Experience driving 5 ton trucks
- Experience with long haul driving (36' -- 53' long trailer)
- Able to provide drivers abstract, drug testing and criminal record checking
- Proficient in all Regulations and Compliance
- Ability to operate a Forklift a plus
- Physically able to moves 50 pounds
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise all product loads onto and off of the truck
- Confirm all loads are strapped down accordingly
- Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle and provide information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any report problems.
- Maintain vehicle’s interior and exterior appearance
- Work independently as well as co-ordinate with the shipping department
- Follow designated routes and report on location as required
- Operate 5 ton truck, flatbeds, and semi-trucks to transport countertops
- Providing long haul driving for approximately 8 weeks a year
- Other duties as assigned
