Reporting to the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager, this role focuses on identifying, assessing, and improving workplace safety, health, and environmental practices. The EHS Coordinator ensures compliance with regulations, leads investigations, and develops preventative programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide EHS expertise and support daily operations.
  • Manage emergency response and hazard control.
  • Conduct investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and certifications.
  • Monitor occupational exposures and waste management systems.
  • Maintain ISO 14001/45001 registration and regulatory reporting.
  • Support Joint Health and Safety Committee initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in environmental management or occupational health and safety.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an EHS role within manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of WHMIS, OSHA, fire/building codes, and other EHS regulations.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
  • First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
