Staffmax is helping a childcare facility which operates out of Port Elgin, ON. They are looking for responsible, self-motivated Early Childhood Educator who will support the childcare philosophy. To provide exceptional quality care for children between the ages of 6 months to 13 years of age. It is essential for us to have strong Early Childhood Assistants, Early Childhood Educator's, Child and Youth Workers, and Recreation and Leisure graduates who possess great interpersonal and leadership skills, and who are also both accommodating and respectful towards staff, children and families.

Educators are required to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children by working both independently and in teaching teams to both plan and implement a strong and developmentally appropriate program for children. Unique play-based programs provide opportunities for professional growth and development. The desired individuals would be required to be in full and complete compliance with all policies, procedures, license requirements and regulation.

Operating hours us are Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and hours are subject to change based upon operational requirements and holidays.
Term: Fulltime, Permanent position
Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour + Benefits

Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree, plus registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators is an asset.
Diploma in Child and Youth Work or Recreation and Leisure is an asset.
Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C specialized in child and infant CPR and Standard First Aid.
Current satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Up to date immunization record.
