Electrician

We are looking for Electricians  in Scarborough for full time.

Location: Scarborough, ON

Pay rate: $35/hr
Timing: 7 am to 5:30 pm

Position Summary:

Installing electrical systems to feed and control postal and baggage handling systems.

 

Responsibilities

· Run all the containment system to complete all the electrical circuit required by the machine.

· Cut, bend and install small and large conduits.

· Pull wire through conduits and cable trays.

· Install wire to panels and electrical gear.

· Help commission gear.

· Perform I/O check procedures, power and communication testing.

· Guarantee the proper labeling of all electrical pulls.

· Provide support during the commissioning process

· Assure the quality of the installation according to the NEC and local regulations.

Skills

1. Capable of bending Rigid and EMT pipe and building raceways.

2. Capable of pulling cable for power, low voltage, ethernet, fiber, and ASI.

3. Capable of performing ethernet and profinet terminations.

4. Termination testing and excellent troubleshooting skills.

5. Knowledge of ASI network is a plus.

6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

7. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull, and lift up to 70 pounds.

8. Capable of reading and understanding:

i) Electrical drawings in general

ii) Cable schedule

iii) Electrical schematics

iv) Single line drawings

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience.
• Provide own transportation to and from the job site.
• Have your own hand tools.
• Have your own PPE.

 

Certificates:

• Electrician 309A/or industrial electrician 442A and being a member of college of trades
• Working at height
• Tag out/lock out.
• Worker health and safety awareness in 4 steps.
• WHIMIS
