Staffmax has teamed up with our clients to hire an experienced entrepreneurial Outside Sales Manager to sell dry fertilizer systems and equipment.
Our clients' customers use the systems/equipment to sell fertilizer to farmers. The ideal candidate must have experience selling fertilizer systems/equipment to farming companies across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.
Job Description
- Present and sell the company's Fertilizer Systems and Services to potential and existing designated customers in all regions of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta.
- Must come with industry experience and existing connections to be successful in the role.
- Responsible for developing sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Compose and maintain a listing of viable industry events, conferences trade shows to attend.
- Represent the company at events, develop relationships and contact lists.
- Coordinate with office staff regarding quotes as needed to meet customer needs, supplying all requested information.
- Build relationships and a fuel customer referral base.
- Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned. Prepare presentations, proposals, quotes, and contracts as needed.
- Report weekly on leads and all sales activity in your territory.
- Maintain territory contact list in CRM, which would include all contact names and relevant customer information.
- Travel required, up to 60%.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- 7 years in progressively responsible outside sales roles in the fertilizer equipment industry.
- You love being out of the office, in front of customers.
- Experience and knowledge of fertilizer equipment is required.
- Must come with industry experience and existing connections to be successful in the role.
- Demonstrated ability to grow sales in outside sales capacity.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Strong sociability to develop relationships and expand personal network.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence decisions.
- Preferences given to candidates with significant farm and agriculture knowledge.
- Ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of an organization.
- Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), as well as business systems such as an CRM or ERP system.
