Staffmax is looking to hire an IT Field Support Technician in United States. This is a fulltime one year contract position.
Location: South Driggs, ID
Salary- $48,000-$50,000 USD/ $23-$24/hr + Gas Allowance.
Term- 1 year contract position
Duties:
- Create reports of the customers they serviced that day
- Follow all of the company's procedures
- Demonstrate how to use the equipment
- Troubleshoot any problems the customers are having
- Meet all of the appointments in a given day
- Respond quickly to customer problems
- Advise customers on the equipment
- Make equipment recommendations to customers
- Act as liaison between the IT unit of an organization and it’s clients
- Explain and provide IT solutions to customers in non-technical and comprehensible terms
- Respond to inquiries about hardware or software issues
- Perform scheduled maintenance on computer systems to ensure efficient operations
Services Needed:
- Streamlining hardware offerings, and services and supporting them in their season starts and shutdowns.
- Example of shutdown: Winterize building (including desktops, laptops, printers), put connections on seasonal hold, shut off power, and spring starts everything back up. Ideally, have a technician do this on their behalf. As well as the start-up, to make sure everything comes back up.
- Provide the ability to be a ‘liaison’ to the local ISP/Phone company.'
Skills:
- Education and Training: To become an IT support technician, you need at least an Associate’s degree in computer science, networking, or programming. Having a Bachelor’s degree in any of the aforementioned disciplines increases job competitiveness. About 3 years of experience in the IT industry is also necessary for the IT support job
- Communication Skill: IT support technicians are able to use clear language and expression to provide technical support to clients
- Problem-solving Skill: They are well versed in providing IT solutions to address the needs of customers
- Interpersonal Skill: They work with various tech professionals to develop and implement IT support strategies.
