Staffmax is aiding a client in the hire of a Finance Clerk for a 4 month contract assignment located near City Hall hear in Ottawa. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Conduct cost analysis on financial programs and operations
  • Determine financial status and analyze forecast results
  • Perform month-end client valuation for assigned funds
  • Resolve accounting errors on a timely basis with documentation
  • Monthly invoicing


  • Advanced use of financial, logical, and lookup tools + spreadsheet formatting in excel
  • Experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
  • Experience in account verification in the Canadian Federal Government
  • Experience in Federal Government SAP financial system
  • Experience in performing account verification or have an audit background
