In Person: Kenora, Ontario $80,000 – CA$110,000 per year Full-time, Permanent Know someone? Who We Are We are a locally owned and operated manufacturing company based in Kenora, Ontario. Our organization is focused on sustainable practices, business growth, and supporting local, handcrafted products and services. With multiple facilities in Canada and the one location is Northern USA., we are expanding operations through the development of a new, full-scale production facility. As part of this growth, we are seeking a hands-on, senior accounting professional to oversee the company’s financial operations, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and work closely with ownership to guide continued expansion. The Finance Controller will report directly to the President and lead the accounting and finance department. (3) Key Responsibilities Oversee and engage in all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, government remittances, and billing. Prepare accurate and timely internal and external financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual) and supporting documentation for year-end reviews. Lead annual budgeting and financial forecasting processes, providing variance analysis to support strategic decisions. Develop and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard assets and ensure GAAP compliance. Coordinate external audits and ensure all tax and regulatory compliance requirements are met. Manage and mentor accounting staff to optimize departmental performance and efficiency. Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, reporting processes, and internal workflows. Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial data and performance metrics. Provide Inventory and Logistics with leadership Qualifications & Skills * Minimum 5–10 years of professional accounting experience; full-cycle accounting required. * CPA designation preferred but not mandatory. * Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting systems, and ERP platforms. * Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills. * Proven ability to lead and mentor teams effectively. * High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing business environment.
