Staffmax Staffing and Recruiting is currently assisting our client a large manufacturer in Winnipeg with finding a Financial Reporting Manager.
- This position has the responsibility of all financial reporting functions
- You be in direct and indirect supervision of all financial and accounting staff;
- Preparation of all formal internal and external financial statements and formulating and recommending appropriate accounting policies.
Compensation and Perks:
- Up to $100,000 yr.
- Health spending account $2300 per year
- RSP after 2 years in an enhanced plan is up to 5% contribution
- Potential bonus - on profitability
Duties:
- Preparation of annual audited financial statements
- Preparation of Annual Report for shareholder and regulatory authorities
- Preparation of unaudited Quarterly Reports for shareholder and regulatory authorities
- Preparation of monthly financial statements for management and internal purposes
- Formulating the appropriate Corporate accounting policies and ensuring they are applied in conformance with International Financial Reporting
- Staying abreast of all current accounting pronouncements and incorporating them into the Company’s policies where applicable
- Interfacing with both the external auditors and the audit committee
- Preparation of annual operating budgets and analysis of results against budget
- Analyzing corporate financing needs and recommending solutions to senior management
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in Business, or a related discipline
- Professional Accounting designation (CPA CA)
- Membership in good standing with a professional accounting body
- 10 or more years of related experience with progressive responsibility
- Previous experience with corporate taxes is considered an additional asset
- Supervisory experience is required
