Staffmax in collaboration with their prestigious client is looking for Fire Alarm Technician.

Are you interested in the Siemens technology training? Our client is an authorized Siemens Fire Alarm Distributor looking to add a License Fire Alarm Technician to the Winnipeg Team.

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Fire Alarm Supervisor, this role is responsible for inspections, installations and repairs to fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers as required by local and national fire codes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Execute and finalize service requests encompassing inspections, installations, repairs, and product sales within the specified timeline.
  • Thoroughly assess and evaluate the work, conducting tests to ensure proper functionality of equipment before departure from the workshop or the client's premises.
  • Transport equipment or fulfill product orders in adherence to customer needs.
  • Spot and record any deficiencies, actively promoting additional Company products and services.
  • Fulfill and uphold all necessary certifications and safety training to perform duties competently.
  • Be on standby for emergency calls as per the rotational schedule.
  • Display readiness to travel as instructed.
  • Participate in relevant training for new products/services, adhere to safety guidelines, and engage in team meetings as required.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum educational qualification: Completion of 12th Grade.
  • Preferable additional education and/or technical training from a recognized technical college program.
  • Preferred familiarity with current local and national fire codes.
  • Essential certification: Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification.
  • Mandatory possession of a valid Manitoba Drivers’ License and a clean driving abstract.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and behavior while on job sites or in public interactions with customers, vendors, fellow service providers, and staff members.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Display effective interpersonal skills and uphold a positive team-oriented approach.
