Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is hiring Conference Greeters and Food Service Attendants for a major Cisco executive conference in Vancouver, BC from October 24 to October 28, 2026.

Join our event team supporting thousands of conference attendees across hotels, conference venues, networking events, and food service areas.

Pay

$24.00 to $27.00 per hour
$20 per day parking allowance (even if you do not drive)
Free lunch when working 6+ hour shifts
Complimentary coffee, tea, and occasional pastries

Position Overview

Successful candidates will support conference food service operations and guest hospitality functions. Assignments may include hotel greeter positions, food and beverage support, meal distribution, line management, directional assistance, networking event support, and guest services.

Responsibilities

Greet conference attendees at hotels and event venues
Direct guests to meeting rooms, transportation, and conference activities
Assist with food and beverage service areas
Support breakfast, lunch, and special meal stations
Help manage food service lines and attendee flow
Deliver meals and refreshments to designated locations
Assist with event receptions and networking functions
Provide outstanding customer service to executive-level attendees
Maintain cleanliness and professionalism in hospitality areas
Support event staff with additional guest service duties as required

Requirements

Excellent English communication skills
Friendly, energetic, and professional personality
Strong customer service skills
Hospitality, restaurant, banquet, hotel, or event experience is an asset
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
Reliable and punctual
Professional appearance and demeanor required

Schedule

Conference dates: October 24 to October 28, 2026
Multiple shift options available
Hotel, conference centre, and special event locations throughout Vancouver
Not all staff will work all conference days
Opportunity to work multiple shifts per day depending on availability
