Forklift Operator / Shipper/Receiver
Location : Fermor Ave. and Lagimodiere Blvd. 
Monday to Friday 
Start 8:00am - 12:00pm
Wage: 19:00/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forklift Operation:

  • Safely operate forklifts with 8 foot probe attachment
  • Transport, stack, and store products or materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
  • Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials to optimize space and prevent damage.
  • Shipping & Receiving:

  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect, and verify items against purchase orders or packing lists.
  • Prepare and pack outgoing shipments according to customer specifications.
  • Process and document returns, damages, and discrepancies.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks.
  • Inventory Control:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Track product movement and adjust inventory levels as needed.
  • Identify inventory discrepancies and report issues to management.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely restocking of materials.
  • Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials, if applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the warehouse team, shipping department, and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
  • Communicate effectively regarding inventory levels, shipments, and deadlines.
  • Additional Duties:

  • Perform general warehouse maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Forklift certification (required).
    • Previous experience in shipping/receiving and inventory control preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Basic computer skills for inventory management.
